Every year, Ohio businesses are required to file an Unclaimed Funds Report with the Ohio Division of Unclaimed Funds. Even if your business has nothing to report—no uncashed checks, unpaid vendor credits, or dormant customer balances—you still need to file what's called a Negative Report by November 1, 2025.
This quick online filing keeps your business in compliance and helps you avoid late-filing notices or penalties. To submit your report, please click this link to the reporting portal, or log in using your Ohio Business Gateway credentials, choose the “Unclaimed Funds Negative Report” option, enter your business information, and submit. Don’t forget to save your confirmation for your records.
